How to add a signature image to a PDF
Download your signature as a transparent PNG from Inkmivo. In Adobe Acrobat Reader on a computer, import that image, place it on the PDF and save a copy. The PDF never passes through Inkmivo.

Place the PNG in Acrobat Reader
- Enter your name in Inkmivo, choose a style and download the transparent PNG. Open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer.
- Open Sign or Fill & Sign. Choose to add a signature, select Image, browse to your PNG and click Apply. The labels may differ in your version or language.
- Click where the signature belongs. Use the field controls to resize it, then save a copy of the PDF and reopen that copy to check the result.
The image has a white box?
Make sure you used the transparent PNG rather than a screenshot of the preview. Our PNG guide shows a quick way to check the background before you import the file. If the image is too large, resize it with Acrobat Reader’s field controls.
Which file can Reader import?
Adobe lists PNG among the image formats accepted for a signature. Inkmivo gives you a 1200 × 400 PNG; it does not edit the PDF. For the exact controls and supported formats, see: Adobe Acrobat Reader Help
Check the Save Signature option
Adobe says that when Save Signature is selected and you are signed in, Reader saves the added signature in Adobe Document Cloud for reuse. Clear that option if you do not want to keep it there. Check the saved PDF before you send it.
A picture is not a digital certificate
This workflow places a visible image on the page. It does not create a certificate-backed digital signature or verify who signed. If a recipient requires a particular signing method, ask them what they accept before sending the PDF.
