How to practice your signature by hand

A screen can show how a mark is drawn, but your hand still has to learn it. Pick one Inkmivo style for your first and last name, replay the strokes, then try the movement on paper. Keep what you can write without staring at the screen.

Real Inkmivo Formal signature for the test name Mila Stone with Replay control
A real Inkmivo result for the test name Mila Stone. This is an on-screen reference, not handwriting by a person.

Move from screen to paper

  1. Enter your first and last name in Inkmivo. Compare the 20 results and open a style you would like to try.
  2. Watch the animation once. Use Replay to look at the opening letter, the main name movement and any pen lifts. Download the PNG if you want a reference beside your paper.
  3. Write the opening letter on paper, then join it to the rest of the name in a way that feels natural to your hand. Try the whole mark without copying every curve on screen.
  4. Make a few more attempts with the reference covered. Compare your own versions and simplify any flourish you cannot repeat comfortably.

Worked example: Mila Stone

The Formal example starts with a large looped M and ends with two long crossing sweeps. On paper, try the M and name first. If the ending pulls your hand off course, keep one short finishing stroke instead of copying both sweeps.

Use the image as a reference

Keep the screenshot or PNG beside a sheet of paper. Try a row of signatures, cover the reference and write again. The National Adult Literacy Agency workbook also leaves space to practise your own signature: NALA writing workbook

If the style is awkward to write

Compare a simpler card such as Classic or Minimal with Formal. The animation shows the generated stroke order; it cannot tell whether the movement suits your hand. Shorten a loop or leave out a decoration and try again.

A practice image has limits

Inkmivo makes an image and a visual stroke reference. It does not verify your identity or turn a handwritten mark into a certificate-backed digital signature. Check the recipient’s rules before using any image in a document.
