How to add a handwritten signature image to Gmail
Make a signature image in Inkmivo, then add the PNG to your Gmail signature on a computer. Gmail can place it beneath new messages and replies; send yourself a test email to see how it looks to a recipient.

Add the image in Gmail
- Enter your name in Inkmivo, pick a style and download the transparent 1200 × 400 PNG.
- On a computer, open Gmail → Settings → See all settings → General → Signature. Create a signature, select Insert image, then Upload your PNG.
- Choose the signature defaults for new emails and replies, then Save Changes at the bottom of the page. Send a message to yourself and inspect the received copy.
Image missing or too large?
First check that you saved the changes and selected the intended default. If the image is missing, remove it and upload it again. If you added it from Drive, recipients must have permission to view that file. Gmail may also hide a signature behind three dots in a message thread.
What size works in email?
Inkmivo downloads a transparent 1200 × 400 PNG; it does not resize the file for Gmail. Google recommends a signature image around 300–400 px wide and 70–100 px high. Resize a copy before upload, or select the image in Gmail’s editor and try its size options. See Gmail Help: Gmail Help · Image troubleshooting · Android signatures
Several signatures and mobile mail
Gmail lets you keep several signatures, choose defaults for new messages and replies, and switch signatures while composing. The Gmail mobile signature editor accepts text, not an image. On Android, if you leave the mobile signature unset, messages use the signature set on your computer.
What this image does
This is an image in an email footer, not an identity check or a verified electronic signature. Names of Gmail controls can vary by language and Workspace account. Check the received test email before using the signature regularly.
