How to insert a signature image in Word
To add a visible signature to a Word document, save it as a PNG image and use Insert → Pictures. Inkmivo makes a transparent PNG from a name; Word places that file where your cursor is. You can resize the picture after insertion. The example below combines a real Inkmivo export with a document illustration.

Insert the PNG in desktop Word
- Enter a first and last name in Inkmivo, compare the 20 styles and download the PNG you want.
- Open your Word document and put the cursor where the image should appear.
- Choose Insert → Pictures → This Device, select the saved PNG and insert it. Drag a corner handle to make it fit the page.
Keep the signature in place
Word normally inserts a picture in line with text. That is a good starting point for a signature below a paragraph or in a table cell. If you need to move it freely, select the picture and choose another text-wrapping option. Check the result after editing nearby text.
Using Word for the web?
Place the cursor in the document, choose Insert → Picture, then select your PNG file. The controls differ from desktop Word, so use the image-insertion path shown in the web app. Microsoft Word · Word for the web · Digital signatures
Already have a handwritten signature?
You can insert an existing image instead. Crop or clean the scan first if its paper background is visible. Inkmivo creates a new image from a typed name; it does not remove backgrounds from scans.
Image or digital signature?
A PNG is a visible picture. Adding it does not, by itself, create a certificate-backed digital signature or prove who placed it in the file. If a recipient asks for a verified digital signature, follow that requirement instead.
